PEOPLE.....YOU have to call your representative and nag the crap out of the office to get them to vote in the proper direction because if they are left on their own to vote......(can we say "special interest groups" boys and girls?).
SO....when you see one of these notices (that Joe is kind enough to post) call your representative and as nicely...(several times) to vote in the manner that is appropriate. In this case.....get rid of these horrible cameras!!!!!!
In Los Angeles, they were banned two decades ago due to an extremely high payout Beverly Hills had to do in a lawsuit where a man sued them for the demise of his marriage.
The camera took a picture of his car with his girlfriend in the passenger seat. The wife opened the 'ticket' and sued him, winning millions in a divorce action. He, in turned, sued the City of Beverly Hills and received a non-disclosed but staggering amount in restitution.
Immediately after this occurred, the City of Los Angeles and all surrounding municipalities took out their cameras.
The impact that the ones in wicomico county have on the environment is horrible. They are all running on car batteries that have to be taken and recharged very often. The cost to charge them and pay someone to go around to change the batteries is not worth the amount they bring in. Get rid of them

Agree with this action completely.

They are unconstitutional and should be removed.
Thankfully some sanity in government.
Leave the leadfoot control alone!
