State Police Investigating Bomb Threats

Delaware - The Delaware State Police are currently investigating bomb threats at four schools in Delaware.

The following is a list of the schools that were affected and being investigated by the Delaware State Police:

Millsboro Middle School, 302 East State Street, Millsboro, DE
Beacon Middle School, 19483 John J. Williams Highway, Lewes, DE
Brandywine High School, 1400 Foulk Road, Wilmington, DE
Stanton Middle School, 1800 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE

Three of the incidents occurred around 9:30 a.m. this morning, Tuesday January 12, 2016 when a robotic style or computer generated voice phone call was received in each of the school’s offices. Shortly before noon, a separated phone call was placed to the Stanton Middle School advising of bombs in the school. Students were evacuated from their respective schools in all four cases and administrative searches were conducted along with the use of state and local police K9s with nothing out of the ordinary or suspicious located. Students and staff were allowed back into their schools upon the completion of the searches and resumed their daily activities.

Investigations are also being conducted by Dover Police Department, Greenwood Police Department, and Milford Police Department for similar incidents that occurred at schools within their jurisdictions.
