The bag on the left clearly says Party Size for $3.98. Interestingly enough, the bag is 15.5 ounces. The bag on the right is the regular bag of chips for the same amount of money but what's interesting is, it's 17.5 ounces.
Now I don't know about you but wouldn't you think/believe that a Party Size bag would have more chips in it, especially for the same price? So you see Party Size and assume you are getting more when in fact they are screwing each and every person.
Now here's the bigger kicker. I could not believe the price of groceries. However, do you people not think about how groceries skyrocketed when the price of gas went over $4.00 a gallon, yet now it's down to $2.00 a gallon and NOTHING has come DOWN in price???
UPS & FedEx are still charging an extra fee because of the price of gas, yet it's gone way down and their still gouging AMERICANS and the government has done nothing about all this fraud.
Businesses are stealing money from Americans and I personally cannot believe our representatives are just letting this fly under the radar.

Our representatives do not need to be creating even more laws, controlling and micro-managing business, simply because some consumers are too careless to read the label.

Not only has the price of fuel been cut in half, but the cost of raw commodities such as corn,wheat and almost all agricultural products have plummeted as well. I work for a large food and agricultural processor and we are having one of our best years in decades. Consumer prices will not fall as quickly as they were raised.
UPS has announced an new Fuel surcharge effective Jan 1 st.

It's about marketing. People who work for these companies spend all day figuring out how to sell less for more.
It makes no representation of what "party size" is - it leaves that to the consumer. The consumer is the responsible agent - caveat emptor, everybody!
I've found that walmart will price larger packages higher-per-unit than smaller ones.
I looked at 2032 batteries. A multi-pack costs more per battery than a single battery pack.
They are doing a lot of sleight-of-hand trying to make up for their losses. Scamming people who (forgive me..) may not know enough or be educated enough to know they're being ripped off.
I just go somewhere else now. Walmart can rot on the vine for all I care.
They could sell even more chips and crap like that if they put a banner on the bag that said "Stoner Size".

I was buying peanut butter the other day and saw that the smaller container was selling cheaper per ounce than the larger one.
Ok, I'm not one to defend Walmart, but I do price shop and worked in retail for a good period of time. I've found the smaller packaging to be cheaper in many chain stores, Giant, Food Lion, Walmart...
Walmart does not have anything to do with the price printed on the bag, that's done when bagged at the processing plant. Walmart does control the prices on the shelves. In many instances, the price on the shelf does not denote the price printed on the bag. Also, there are sales and constant markdowns, changes in packaging by the wholesaler... Most brand name snacks, like Doritos are ordered and displayed by the sales for the wholesaler, only store specials are controlled by the store chain. They aren't concerned about the store's shelf labels, they are only concerned about filling their allotted display area, When one packaging runs into another, they leave the old there until expiration, because returns are lost profit and lost commission.

Something that has happened to me at Walmart is several of the products I bought were expired. I bought a bag of a brand of popcorn that slips my mind and I wrote to the company on FB and and they wrote me back apologizing saying someone else would get back with me and make it up. I have yet to hear back from them. When you buy your bags of chips, etc. it might be a good idea to check the expiration dates.
