After San Bernardino, American Muslims have to come to terms with an ever more apparent truth: that we, and our mainstream Muslim brethren, are the only ones who can lead a winning fight against the radicalism crippling our faith.
What’s most troubling about the San Bernardino massacre is that Syed Farook seemed to have been, by almost all accounts, an ordinary American. He was an educated and employed 28-year-old first-generation citizen, born to Pakistani immigrants.
Like many Americans, I have a similar background, which makes the attack all the more concerning. It seems unthinkable that someone in such a position could be susceptible to radicalization. Yet we have seen this happen time and again, particularly among younger Muslims in the Middle East, Europe and now America.

This article sounds good. It reminds me of an Obama speech. Until they close their own Mosque when they preach this trash and work against the Islamic Terrorist this will always be trash talk. Very deceiving.
We need more outspoken, rational Muslims to take control away from the rapidly metastasizing cancer of fundamentalist, primitive Islam.
Catholics don't let their priests and cardinals and vicars bring back the Inquisition. Baptists don't allow congregations to burn people at the stake anymore. Jews got out of the crucifixion business over a thousand years ago.
Islam must likewise reject barbaric beliefs and practices, and integrate their "religion" into modern ideals of humanity and civility, or become universally regarded as the embodiment of evil, enemy of all that is good, righteous and "holy". It will take quite a lot of innocent blood shed, before (relatively) peaceful non-Muslims of every franchise from Christian to Catholic to Hindu to Pastafarian, put down their petty differences to unite to exterminate the living, virulent cult of death and mindless hatred that defines Islam.
How about they work on that over there in the Mideast and get back to us in a thousand more years and tell us how it's going?
They've been doing it their way for 2,000 years, and we don't like it!
