Federal employees will get a half-day off on Thursday, Dec. 24.
President Barack Obama signed an executive order Dec. 11 permitting federal employees to take off the last half of the scheduled workday on Christmas Eve.

What a chump now they have noon time rush hour!
You people are never happy with anything and for the record, there are federal employees everywhere, including in Smallsbury.
Since the Federal Budget is flush with all this extra money it sure makes sense to do this.
So that means that 50 % of the 50% who wont be working Christmas eve day get to leave early.
