Report: Baltimore has bad raw sewage problem

A new report released Tuesday and obtained by the 11 News I-Team claims the city of Baltimore's intentional release of raw sewage is so bad, warning signs should be posted at the Inner Harbor.

The report was done by the nonprofit Environmental Integrity Project. It says the city dumped more than 300 million gallons of sewage into the Jones Falls over five years to ease pressure on the aging sewage system. The Jones Falls is the main tributary of the Inner Harbor. The city's sewage system system was supposed to have been fixed by January 2016.

"The city has tripled our water and sewer bills over the 13 years and collected more than a billion dollars, and yet the city is only about half done in fixing its sewage problem," said Tom Pelton, of the Environmental Integrity Project. "Most interestingly, it is not reporting to the public, as required by law, how much sewage it is discharging into the public waterways."

For those of you who don't know, Jones Falls empties into the Inner Harbor, right beside Ruth's Chris Steakhouse!

Yeah, it's the farmers and chicken houses that are polluting the
Bay and our drinking water.

WELL you are the idiots who keep listing to them and believing what they say, even though I know your statement is sarcastic...

Until you do something to help stop it or help fix the problem, your words fall on def ears...

You people can't possible think things will get fix or things will get better by just sitting there doing nothing do you?

It's Hogan and the rest of those damn republicans. Give the city another $100 million so they can hire some consultants (AKA Friends of the Mayor) to study the problem.
