Lawmaker Says Hogan Needs To Explain Refugee Policy

A state lawmaker who came to this country as a child in the 1970's from what was then the Soviet Union says Governor Larry Hogan's policy on allowing Syrian refugees to come into Maryland is unfair, and leaves several questions unanswered.

Montgomery County Delegate Kirill Reznik, who was brought to this country as 4-year-old child by his parents, older brother and one of his grandparents, says the governor has not explained what is wrong with the federal government's current screening process for refugees.

This past Tuesday Hogan said that he would request the federal government "cease any additional settlements of refugees...until the U.S. government can provide appropriate assurances that refugees from Syria pose no threat to public safety."

The government has failed the U.S. , it's time to let the people speak as they should . The majority of Americans say No , what is it that they don't understand about No.

The only think between these people and Syria is a plane ticket. See ya

Our Governor didn't shut the door! He just wants due diligence....which the feds are incapable of - just look at how many tests TSA fails!

Thousands Standing Around....
Terrorism Succeeded Again....
Totally Screwing Aviation....

have you read about the 150 airplane passengers from Mexico who were allowed to leave the airport without going through customs? Yes, it was a mistake and one that was corrected, some time later. And they are going to vet 10,000 refugees?

The safety of all Americans is at risk by allowing entry; people who support letting these refugees in, need to have their head examined. This is not an hypothesis it is a fact that we are witnessing before our eyes.

If the Delegate from MoCo wants to take in refugees let him have at it. He must also take full responsibility for their physical, medical and educational needs. No tax dollars to support these people. This state is broke, this country is broke we that fund this country can't afford anymore.

Hogan puts the responsibility on the feds, where it belongs, to protect the nation and its people. Until we get something besides excuses and lip service from Washington, we are not safe.

not until omally explains why he pushed a feel good gun ban on us after hearing from thousands of citizens not to do it. With that logic Hogan does not owe us an answer.

That is the problem and then we let them in office and some day they all will be running or country

those guys look like they could take in at least 2 refugees each sign them up

Tell them to pack up their signs and get head over to Syria.

See, here is another person who thinks we should have to prove whats wrong with government instead of the government showing us how they are working in our interests while spending our money. It does leave unanswered questions. I have yet to see any details on actually how they are screening these people. All they say is in terms like stringent and sufficient and that whatever they are doing can take two years to complete. If it takes two years to figure out that someone is a terrorist we are in trouble and yes we need to shut the door until we can find someone to do a better job.

I wish the governor would have said NO!!! Then this wouldn't be a story days later.

I don't understand how anyone would allow this terrorist president bring these people here. Especially with what we see these people act. Terrorizing towns and the people in them with no regard . They aren't all orphans and widow BS.

I don't understand why this is even an issue. If you don't like what the duly elected Governor Hogan is doing then prove that you mean what you stand for and move to a state that is welcoming the refugees. This is what anyone who feel what Governor Hogan is doing is wrong needs to do. They act like it's rocket science or something when the solution is simple. It's called putting your money where you mouth is instead of just running it for the sake of running it.

They are going to put them in your neighborhoods, in your schools, and make you pay for it with a new "Refugee" tax.

Paranoid much?

If you are a lawmaker you assimilated. That is the difference. They are not coming here to enjoy the magic formula of success. they are coming here to make this another Islamist paradise.

Governor Hogan did what the majority of the Maryland citizens asked for him to do. Have any of the American people forgotten 9/11...the towers, the Pentagon and the Pennsylvania field? What is happening now is so blatantly out in the open that if you can't 'see the forest from the trees' then shame on you. Helping others is what our country was founded on but helping others that are coming to kill you would seem a little detrimental to our well being.

Montgomery county liberals#### these are supposed to be educated people. I don't know what else to say except shake my head in disbelief.

African Americans don't have jobs now and libatards want to bring more people, where is black lives matter outrage?

The key word here is "appropriate". There is NO WAY the govt can comply with this requirement...
