Cardin Statement on Syrian Refugees Coming to the United States

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-Md.), Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued the following statement on the various statements from primarily Republican governors attempting to stop Syrian refugees from entering their states.

“As elected officials, the safety of all Americans is our highest priority. The United States should be doing everything in our power to know who we allow into this country – refugees, business people or tourists. I wish that prior to making public statements that run contrary to federal and state authority, governors who are trying to shut the doors to their states from refugees including Maryland’s governor, would have reached out to federal officials for details on the stringent security screenings required for refugee resettlement anywhere in the United States. I take very strongly the responsibility to make sure these security screenings prevent terrorists from entering our country.”

Well Ben how many are you personally going let live with you. If your will to bring them in than you shouldn't have any problems letting the live under your roof. By the way please make sure that they are all young males!!!!!

And Ben, why do Maryland taxpayers have to pay for their upkeep? After you and O'Malley and Barbara, we've had enough.

The federal government, and this particular administration is known for their total lack of truthfulness. The governors would never get the truth from the government, and they would get the run around to avoid any discussion to keeping out refugees. This is treason against the American citizens.

our Governor said he was closing the door until the government could prove the refugees were being properly vetted and the government would stand behind each one

Could Mr. Cardin elaborate on his 'stringent security procedures'?

If Ben Cardin wants them - I say let him feed, cloth, and support their butts.
While he is at it - he can help to pay for their education too.

And while we are on the subject of rejected Syrian refugees - I may just decide to run against the pompous ass - Ben Cardin when he tries to hold his seat.

It's people like Ben Cardin that have given Maryland a tainted reputation. We Marylanders' don't need liberal retards like Ben Cardin to subject our citizenry to tyrannical terrorists attacks.

Take care of our own people, not refugees. I don't believe Ben or Barrack Hussein.

Ben Cardin statement is proof that he is a suck up to OBAMA. He is done, let's kick his a** out of office.

When one of these refugees from Syria carry out a terrorist act here, everyone who supported taking them in will have blood on their hands.

Mr. Cardin you don't think the French government thought the same thing as you? Well wake up and smell the coffee and read the writing on the wall! They realized too late they were wrong and have closed their barn doors (borders) after the cows have left the farm! We the American people are not, will not wait for another attack and listen to you people in Washington pass the buck and go "oops" after a terrorist attack has happened here in The United States!

Shi'ite Iran is not being asked to take any Shi'ite refugees .
Sunni ISIS and Sunni resistance all have homes they left to become paid insurgents.
Christians from Syria are being used as an excuse for Sunni Muslims to invade Europe and the USA.
Ben Cardin is Progressive who walks in lockstep with the President whose Brother is a Sunni member of the Islamic Brotherhood.
Why do Zionist Jews in Government like Ben Cardin possess no reference point to the entities origins or care to uphold the oath they took to protect our Constitution only to pander to a President that is a total fraud?
or do they?

most of the pictures I have seen of so called refugees are in better shape than I. why doesn't the religion of peace help them out?

Remember his words. Is he representing Maryland or even the United States? Is Cardin a Christian or a just a politican? Is he intelligent enough to recognize that we have Americans who are out of work, 52% of our citizens are receiving government assistance leaving 48% to work. Is Cardin aware of the problems that muslims have caused in other countries, etc. We need to shore-up our own country. Our economy is weak, people are not happy with the direction our country is going and we have hungry people here and folks don't feel secure any more. You all know the facts. Remember all of them when you vote in the next election.
