No they weren't. they were on tourist visas and their mom was seeking asylum. Not that it makes any difference really

Actually my source was the Washington Post...oddly enough since yesterday they have now updated their original story that they published on April 19, 2013. It now says they were not refugees. I guess I should believe what the liberal news tells me huh?
My ancestors who legally immigrated to the USA were not GIVEN food, housing, medical care, etc., all paid for by US taxpayers. In fact, to take any kind of handout was a matter of shame to be avoided completely.

Right 7:29, when most of our ancestors migrated here they were not refugees but migrants. They willing paid to leave their homeland with the intent of never returning. Refugees by definition return to their country as soon as they are able. The government needs to completely stop the freebee train and return that job to the charities who do it so much more efficiently (NOT the Clinton Foundation!).

When you are admitted in the US with asylum status it means that you have fit the definition of a refugee among other qualifying factors. This was the parents. You apply for asylum and are granted refugee status.
The Tsarnaev brothers as well as a sister were "invited in" the US to join parents via tourist visas so they could, and where they did, claim asylum. And again IN ORDER TO CLAIM ASYLUM YOU *******MUST****** MEET THE DEFINITION OF A REFUGEE.
At least one (the youngest brother) eventually became a naturalized citizen. This happened faster than usual BECAUSE citizenship is expedited when someone is granted refugee status.
It's all semantics and a play on words and definitions but the fact IS without any doubts the Tsarnaev bros. were here as refugees.

9:26 is correct. In order to claim asylum one of the factors is you must meet the definition of a refugee. The Tsarnaev's had to be refugees (the govt's definition) before applying for asylum.
If anyone followed the trial of Dhokhar his own lawyer said he was granted asylum and became a citizen. The lawyer went on to say that it was only because of this betrayal to his adopted country was the death penalty being sought.

Well I was going to say that yes they were refugees because the whole family was granted asylum and you have to be a refugee for that but others beat me to it. I know this because I read extensively about this and the trial including verbatim quotes by both sides and it was said numerous times by both about the asylum and refugee status of the family and the brother on trial. It was even brought out why the older dead brother was able to travel to the country he left since he had been granted asylum and claimed to be a refugee. The mother too.

I commend the F.B.I. and Homeland Security. The work must be crazy with all these potential suspects on our soil. It appears we are ahead of the curve for now. If we add hundreds of thousands of new potential threats how do we stay ahead of the threat. Also a shout out to the C.I.A.for killing as many of these bastards you can before they reach our soil.
Treason should be punished by public hanging. Any act against the citizens of the United States on our soil should be dealt with by death.
