Well darn! Common Core spellcheck strikes again!

Veteran's is spelled wrong, Veterans is correct.

The same people that write the press releases for MSP and SPD must be proof reading at the banner company. No regrats. Not even one?

No way, was this for real? Really?

Can't Spell!

Anonymous said...

Where's the "E"?

Anonymous said...

"Veterans" is misspelled.
Also it should be plural possessive not singular possessive: veterans' not veteran's.

Vetrance, no, Vetterance, no, verteans, no, past employees of the US Gov who fought in wars.

Whew! I got it!

Fault probably lies with those who submitted the job (the parade organizers) and the local Pepsi bottling banner proofreader.

Pepsi donated the sign on behalf of the Laurel American Legion. They did it for the free advertising and Pepsi logo.

It took a minute, but I got it: Nobody is selling crack under the basketball hoop.

If the pepsi people can't spell then I'm sticking with Coca Cola.

Don't tell me that they don't teach spelling in the Laurel schools. I guess they don't teach the importance of proof-reading either. What a shame.

Who made the banner? A teacher perhaps.

Common Core English.

Im switching to coke.

Don't blame Pepsi, they donated money. Somewhere between sign co. and who ever picked it up and hung it.
