Santa Claus officially comes to town during the 69th annual Salisbury Christmas Parade, hosted by the Salisbury Jaycees.
The parade begins 2 p.m. Sunday, December 6 (rain date: Sunday, December 13), at the corner of Civic Avenue and Mt. Hermon Road. The route travels down Mt. Hermon Road to East Main Street, ending near Ward Street. The judges’ stand is located in front of the fountain at City Park.
This year’s theme is “A Cartoon Christmas.” Participants are expected to include approximately 10 middle and high school marching bands, as well as local fire companies, community organizations and elected officials.

Make sure to bundle up and wear your bullet proof vest kids!! Remember last year... hands up Salisbury economy down!!
I remember the days when the Christmas parade used to wind through downtown Salisbury.
How can they put their hands up and hold their pants up at the same time?
I remember when they always had it on a Saturday. More churches were able to participate. So much fun!
