The prison guards and the El Salvadorian army remain on the outside, ensuring that the prisoners stay behind bars. Penas Ciudad Barrios is a maximum security prison exclusively housing Mara Salvatrucha gang members, located in the capital San Salvador. The Mara Salvatrucha was founded in Los Angeles area by El Salvadoran immigrants, and went back to El Salvador following repatriation In Penas Ciudad Barrios, the Mara Salvatrucha control their own "community" of some 2,500 jailed members, complete with a bakery, workshops, a hospital and rehab. The Mara Salvatrucha gang members are covered in tattoo writings.

Their extreme tattooed bodies causes me to shun overly tattooed people in America. IMO to each his own but just know my fear keeps me at a distance, even to not going to checkers in stores or eateries..

Holy crap. Looks like a chicken truck packed full. The stink in there must be ghastly.

No wonder they aren't afraid of going to prison in this country. It's like a country club in comparison.

Exactly what they deserve, not color tvs, with cable,3 hot meals a day, and free medical, this how we need to do it !

America needs to aspire to the standards set by one of the poorest and most violent countries in the Western Hemisphere? I think we can do better than this.
