SUPPORT SERVICES PROVIDED FOR STUDENTS, STAFF AFTER DEATH OF PARKSIDE HIGH STUDENT

Parkside High School and Wicomico County Public Schools are saddened by the passing on Sunday of a Parkside High Student

Statement from Superintendent of Schools Dr. John Fredericksen:

Parkside High School and Wicomico County Public Schools are saddened by the passing on Sunday evening of Cameron Dashiell, 16, a student in his third year at Parkside High School. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends at this very difficult time.

The Wicomico County Bureau of Investigation is investigating the circumstances of his death.

Parkside High staff members were informed of Cameron’s death this morning, and extra personnel are at Parkside today to provide support to students and staff. Support staff are also available at James M. Bennett High, where a number of Cameron’s former classmates attend.

Teachers will share the news with students, and a moment of silence will take place at the end of 6th period.
