Two Shot and Killed Following a Home Invasion-Dover

Dover, DE - The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is currently investigating a Dover area home invasion where a man and woman were shot and killed.

Troopers were called to the 1400 block of John Clark Road (Rodney Village) Dover, on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at approximately 1:38 a.m. for a report of a home invasion with two suspects. A female reported her father, 52 year old, had been shot by one of the suspects after they entered the home during a struggle. The father’s adult son was also in the residence when he heard the struggle. During the altercation, the father and his son were shot. The suspects then fled the residence and the son gave chase.

During the foot chase, shots were fired and a female was shot. The female’s involvement in this incident is unknown at this time. She was transported to a local area hospital where she was pronounced dead. The father was pronounced deceased at the scene. The son was removed from the scene by EMS and transported a local area hospital where he was treated and released.

The first suspect is described as a black male approximately 6’00” tall with a slim build wearing dark clothing with his face partially covered and armed with unknown type of handgun.

The second suspect is described as a white male approximately 5’09’ to 5’10” tall with a slim build wearing dark clothing with his face partially covered and armed with unknown type of handgun.

The motive for this crime is unknown at this time. No other occupants inside the residence were injured.

The investigation is currently in its early stages and more information will be released when it is received. This incident does not appear to be a random act.

So let me guess;someone has to get shot and killed in Sby during a home invasion for a press release to come out,or wouldn't even that be enough?

That whole area is nothing but dopers and dealers. No way they werent targeted and this was random. Let em rid of themselves! They're real good at it.
