Sketchy 10% Of Doctors Are Writing More Than 50% Of Painkiller Prescriptions

While most doctors try to honor their oath to do no harm, some physicians just want to be paid (or are really, really, just horrible at their jobs). Take, for example, the 1-in-10 doctors responsible for writing the majority of painkiller prescriptions.

It might have a lot to do with the crack down on the use of thse drugs and the fact that pain management has moved from the general practitioners to a specialized field of pain management!

This article does nothing but trash any doctor that prescribes pain killers and insinuates that anyone taking these medications are 'skechy' like their doctors. There are some people who can not function daily without the pain meds. These responsible people take them just like those with heart disease or diabetes, as prescibed. I am one of those and articles like this make it very difficult to find a doctor to help and then you are treated at the pharmacy as though you are buying a firearm, sign this, show your id, we need this or that from your ins carrier! Just for giggles see what you have to do and have just to see a pain management doctor and you will understand why so few prescibe.

So truce, herion is cheaper than the pills, even from the pharmacy! Of course they don't see the relationship between the coming down on doctors and rise in herion use at the same time as being relevant to each other! If you don't have insurance to cover pain management you don't see a doc for it, majority will not let you pay cash for treatment! It is a sad state when you can not pay cash for medical care!
