State officials want to have some of the first medical marijuana dispensaries open late next year at the earliest, so the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission is taking applications for licenses for up to 15 marijuana growers, an unlimited number of marijuana processors and for operators for up to 94 marijuana dispensaries.
Applications for licenses are now on the state's Medical Cannabis Commission website.
The application deadline is November 6.
Hannah Byron, executive director of the commission, told WBAL NewsRadio 1090, that if an applicant gets what is called "Stage One License," they will have up to one year to take the steps to get a final license which includes raising the capital, purchasing real estate, construction a building and hiring staff.

Farmers around here should be jumping on this.
Just fill out this application and we'll have our DEA agent come out to do a follow up.
As with everything else within gov't, these licenses are already awarded others need not apply.
