Public Hearing to be held on the donation of City of Salisbury owned property on Naylor Mill Road to Wicomico County for expansion of recreation fields at Henry S. Parker Complex
The City of Salisbury will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, September 14, 2015 at its 6:00 p.m. Legislation Session in Council Chambers (Room 301) of the City/County Government Office Building. This public hearing will provide an opportunity for the Public to comment on the possible donation of the City-owned property on Naylor Mill Road, located beside the Henry S. Parker Sports Complex, to Wicomico County for the expansion of the recreation fields at the Complex.
The Public Hearing will be held during the Legislative Session at approximately 6:15 p.m. All interested persons are encouraged to attend.

Just walk around the current facility and see what it has become.Dugouts in dire repair.Bathrooms are horrible to say the least and the fields look even worse.
What used to be one of the best sports fields on the eastern shore has sadly fallen victim to poor management and oversight.

What's the Deal? Jim Ireton is putting on a show for the public about this. Again he is trying to get the citizens in an uproar against the county. This land sits over top the paleo channel and their is some false, uneducated perception that sports fields are going to ruin the paleo channel. Liberal Idiots!!

Are you that stupid?? Those softball teams bring in a lot of money to our economy and helps businesses.
Prove to me that there is good reason not to allow anymore softball teams to come here?
It would be better to have businesses that provide money to our economy rather than turning us all into waiters/bartenders/maids to serve a holes from somewhere else that spend tons of money to watch their lil darlings play softball because they live where the jobs are.
Why don't we just buy the adjacent farmland and plant trees there for positive conservation? That way, the bike trails are preserved as well as the woods, land clearing costs are zero, and development costs are minimal.
Oh, but that would be logical, sorry.

You are an idiot! We do have businesses that provide money to our economy. These softball players have to have places to eat, sleep, buy gas and shop. If we didn't have these tournaments then these businesses would go out of business and we would have more unemployment.
