PhD Says Monsanto Has Been Lying About Safety of Cry Proteins in GM Bt Crops

And how GMOs could be triggering allergies

In a recent interview on Food Sleuth Radio, Dr. Hansen exposes Monsanto’s latest contrivance – that Bt toxic corn is ‘safe’ to eat. Dr. Hansen provides ‘clean’ science through Consumer Reports that has no private backing, and certainly none by the GM industry.

Hansen states that biotechnology allows you to move genetic traits from any possible source – viruses, bacteria, animals, humans, etc. and put them into plants. This is what allowed scientists to make Bt corn and other Bt crops, and then patent them.

Bt crops are created by inserting a gene from the soil bacterium Bacillus thuringienesis into a plant, thereby creating a pesticide that lives within the plant from roots to stems. The plant itself, in fact, becomes a pesticide, and when insect pests eat them, their guts are altered, and the insect dies.

The first Bt corn variety made by Monsanto, MON 810 (which was submitted to the FDA with research only done by Monsanto itself), is promoted by the company as being safe; however, the FDA has never declared that BT crops were safe, and in fact, no solid safety testing has been done on Bt toxins.

Monsanto planted test crops of this variety in the Phillipines. When it pollinated, it made an entire village near the fields sick. Some left and got better, but when they returned, they got worse.

Genetic manipulation ALWAYS has unintended effects. New allergens are coming from these crops, and the dust and pollen from the fields are making people sick. Doctors can't find the cause, because all the research has been sanitized by the companies. The companies are making mega-billions from the technology and will stop at nothing to silence dissenters.

GMO crops ARE causing illness.

Dittos 12:22. this is a very serious matter. many people in America are so uneducated regarding GMO crops and all the junk science that Monsanto and others are pushing on us.

This is a fact: 97% of ALL corn and wheat is now GMO. Oats are still ok. Think about this. Corn and wheat are in everything. Do yourself and your family a favor and get OFF of all GMO. Do your research today. Don't put it off. It's making you and your family sick and it will get worse...

There has been a REMARKABLE increase in people who have not previously had allergies/respiratory issues now experiencing them.

And some of them are pretty severe.

New GMO varieties (with multiple genetically-engineered traits) are being introduced every season.

There is now proof that some GMO bacteria have transferred their genetic info to gut bacteria in humans.
That, folks, is scary.

In the past year GMO wheat has been found in several states.
And just for the record don't be fooled. Wheat most certainly is tampered with-for lack of a better phrase or word.
The USDA at the urging of agri business lobby has narrowed down the definition of genetically modified.
Wheat has been hybridized, backcrossed to include a specific trait and crossed with non wheat plants. There are also chemical, gamma and x ray mutagenesis (the use of stimuli to induce mutations.)
The variety Clearfield Wheat was created by exposing the seeds to the chemical sodium azide which is highly toxic to humans.

Wheat is genetically manipulated. You get the agribusiness lobby and the politicians together and the bastardization party begins. They start redefining terms and phrases to their liking and not what is in the best interest of the public.
So the high yield, dwarf, drought tolerant, etc etc, suddenly becomes a product of genetic manipulation as opposed to genetically modified or engineered.
