Local Law Enforcement Is All Screwed Up

The above image was recently published on Facebook. Here's the problem though. The message before this one, (above) was about shoplifters posted yesterday.

In other words, the SPD never let the public know the above mentioned person was ever missing in the first place.

We see a lot of the same thing with the Wicomico County Sheriffs Office. And we never see anything at all from the MSP Salisbury barracks.

What makes that interesting is the fact that we receive every single press release from every other MSP location across the entire state, Salisbury tends to cover crime up, even after years of attempts to get their press releases.

While this Post may come off as if we are complaining that in some cases we are left out of the loop, we are not complaining. Salisbury News has been around for almost 11 years now. Our hits are literally in the tens of millions and we'd like to challenge those department heads to ask ALL of the local media to come forward and PROVE their hits. We would certainly participate.

Law Enforcement talks the big talk about community policing and getting the community involved. HELLO! We do not charge to publish their information and reach more people that anyone else on a local level.

In fact, all they have to do is ask County Executive Bob Culver how many hits Salisbury News has and that should shut just about everyone up. Bob has personally seen our traffic. It is documented and factual.

If local Law Enforcement refuses to pass on important information, well, it simply proves they are covering up not only crime but discouraging the parents of those children who have disappeared. One only has to look at how quickly we reunite animals, (for God's sake) to their owners to realize how far reaching this Website is.

Nevertheless, the above image shows the SPD never let ANY news media know this individual was missing in the first place but then pounded their chest letting the public know they were found.

UPDATE: This is how it's done.

They are not interested in helping the public. They are only interested in collecting revenue. Here is a tip for the local police. Start handing out fines and tickets for all the people on bikes that break the law. I see them almost daily running stops signs or red lights and riding on the sidewalk.

They won't solicit the public's help, they won't tell the public what is going on in their neighborhood's, they won't give out any information about anything - what the hell good are they????? When police cars and fire trucks and ambulances are all lined up down my street, I want to know what is going on but do you think I can find out????? No, I can't and that is just plain not fair to any neighbor or any neighborhood. Was there a breakin, what there a shooting, what was going on for all those vehicles and personnel to be here? Those daily lists they put out of their calls is also a joke, they leave out addresses, they make up reasons for the calls. Why so secretive? We need to know what is going on in our town and all police agencies are certainly no help whatsoever.

We have no proactive police departments around here. We have a very productive crime business here that keeps the local jail fat with work release revenue and the local lawyers fat and sassy! Keeping crime unreported or fudging the numbers is done for grant revenue reasons only. It's a for profit business that has nothing to do with "To Protect & To Serve".
It has everything to do with "Arrest & Collect".

Do what everyone else does. Walk down the street and ask.

Too bad one has to be an attorney to stand in court and say your client is a "good person" who made a mistake. For $2500 or more. Not bad for 5 minutes in court. And PLEASE, don't start with "there's a lot going on behind the scenes" crap. Most of the "behind the scenes" things involve bribery and good ol' boys having some crabs and conversation on the deck.
I could do that (you could, too) and would only charge $1500. And the result would be exactly the same as the guy who charged $2500.
I'd still give the judge his cut (aaahhhhh...you think that DOESN'T happen, you naïve cheerleader?).
9:09 absolutely KILLED it.
Crime in this town is a huge business for the small time country boy lawyers, the "correctional" system, the aging and decrepit double dipping ex-cops making people take off their belts at the metal detector, the judges, the alcohol/drug "counselors", and everyone else involved in the revolving door of "leave your wallet with us" justice system. And yes, I use that term in the loosest possible manner.
What goes on in that branch of the government can hardly be called "justice".
Ask the family of the man Frank Perdue killed while driving drunk. .
