The Fruitland Police department would like to welcome the community to
National Night Out (NNO) on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 5 PM until 8PM. The city of Fruitland will be hosting the event at the pavilion located on S. Brown Street.
National Night Out is designed to: (1) heighten crime prevention awareness, (2) generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs, (3) strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and (4) send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Along with the traditional outside lights and front porch vigils, most cities and towns celebrate National Night Out with a variety of special citywide and neighborhood events. The city of Fruitland will once again be hosting their community cookout with food, games and prizes. National Project Coordinator, Matt Peskin said, “This is a night for America to stand together and promote awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity. National Night Out showcases the vital importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement in our fight for a safer nation. On NNO, we invite neighborhoods nationwide to join us and “give crime a going away party”.
Please come out and enjoy a free night of food and fun!!!!!

this program is a joke. Miinorities will come out and scarf up the freebies and then go back to doing what they do best - drain society of money, safety, and values.
Never the same since Captain Bradley left for SU
Free Food!!! Come and get it.
Every year the crime rate keeps going down further and further in the black communities because of these wonderful freebee programs. Also that is another night the wonderful black people don't have to use their food stamps and EBT cards so that means more money for Keno and Booze. Gosh isn't God Great!!
I bet the EBT Blogger will be seen in the Salisbury City park getting his free chicken and hot dogs.
Absolutely correct. Fruitland has become a cesspool of section 8 housing.
It sure has! Free everything and then they rob the good people! If you want to see how things really are go to the Red Fox Store on a Friday or Saturday night and tell me what you see! You will not believe it!! Cesspool!!
Seems like most every community event that is held, it is overtaken with the people that don't want to work and/or better themselves. Just one more event for these type of people to come and take the free stuff and leave.
All to drink to that
Hey mike put your hands up
Fruitland is fortunate to have a good police force and it sounds like the town needs it.
Fruitland's problem is the same as Salisbury's.. too many rentals.
Most of the people who come and go don't really care about the community or their neighbors, cause they aren't there for long.
Fruitland had the chance to keep this from happening, but the elected officials (and the city managers) wouldn't address the problem through occupancy limits and zoning laws that were effective.
Now the town is gone. It's way too late to fix it.
Glad we got out in time.

The only city manager you could be referring to is Rick Pollitt.
Free food?
I'll be right over soon as I drive up from Crisfield!
The council past and present is to blame for Fruitland's woes. If they look at facts and legislate by what the people who elect them tell them things would be different. Too many outsiders run the show.
You people saying nasty and negative things so.be ashamed of yourself move of u don't like fruitland not only blacks.people our on food stamps and most people on food stamps aware going to school.and work
