Army Tells Recruiters to Fear Armed Citizens Standing Guard

The Army has told its recruiters that the armed citizens showing up outside recruiting offices in the wake of the recent attack in Chattanooga, Tennessee, should be considered threats and reported to local police.

“I’m sure the citizens mean well, but we cannot assume this in every case and we do not want to advocate this behavior,” according to the Army Command Operations Center-Security Division letter obtained by Stars and Stripes. “If questioned by these alleged concerned citizens, be polite, professional and terminate the conversation immediately and report the incident to local law enforcement.”

“Ensure your recruiters clearly articulate to local police the civilian may be armed and in possession of a conceal/carry permit.”

What a liberal Crock of $4!T.

Local hometown recruiters frequently grew up in the cities they are stationed - and otherwise, part of their duties is to get to know the citizenry.

The recruiters will most likely go outside and get to know their 'guards'...and will probably be defiantly packing concealed heat!

This is a press release designed to instill fear of open-carrying individuals.

I'm starting to get annoyed by these weenies!

What a shame that our military has become babysitters. If a person has a permit they are allowed to stand on any taxpayer funded property, including sidewalks.

Why don't they go inside and enlist?

1:20 Because Obama only wants transgenders and gays to serve in the military.

It's because, under the specter of Obama think, while dead, unarmed recruiters and reservists can be fobbed off as 'man caused disaster' victims, it's bad PR for them to be protected by motivated, knowledgeable civilians. Doesn't fit the narrative. Now if they were dressed like Zouaves in rainbow attire, that would be acceptable!

Just like our "leaders" have said many times before.....they are more afraid of "homegrown terrorists" than any nutjob muslim calling for the beheading of all Americans.
They are scared to death of Americans with guns and military training.
And they should be.

The last thing obummer wants is a citizen with a gun killing a bad guy. I mean an obummer supporter. Doesn't fit his agenda.

I would think the recruiter would have enough sense to have met and shook hands with their friends outside when they arrived, went inside, and offered their protective services.

"The Army" , who has obviously disarmed their employees and left them vulnerable to Islamic attacks, is the bad guy in the room, and the civilians seem to be the "Good guys" here.
