OCEAN CITY, Md. (WJLA) - A pair of shark attacks on young swimmers on a North Carolina beach has vacationers in our area keeping an eye on the surf.
In Ocean City, Md. there has never been a recorded shark attack on a human but beachgoers are talking about the possibility. Gina Hudec of Pittsburgh said, “we have to remember we’re in their home that’s their home out there in the ocean. My kids are out there so that’s kind of scary when they go out far.”
Vacationer Nancy Rankin said she’s not worried, “I’ve never seen a shark here although I hear there have been sightings. Dolphins, yeah I see them.”

Go ahead and get in the ocean - I say no thanks. Nice to look at and that's about it, don't want anything to do with any creature swimming around me or my feet.
Sharks will not come near Ocean City MD it is a sewage hell hole
The only shark resides in the Mayor's office.
wait? there are sharks in the ocean? imagine that.
fwiw, i have caught them in 2-3ft of water, they are right at the beach
Assateague Island, shark fishing, kayak, at night.
Feed those into Google, and enjoy.
If you are seeing dolphins you won't see sharks...
The one victim got hurt was swimming near a fishing pier. I would avoid swimming near the fishing pier in Ocean City - I have personally witnessed them cutting up fish and dropping the waste into the ocean - that is a sure way to attract a shark.
lmao, the sharks are there right next to the beach in oc, just cause you can't see them don't mean they aren't there. lots of them! Idiots!
Don't swim on a boggie board .......seal.....food.
Sharks = obama ,cnn,msnbc,nbc.
Shark week doesn't start until July 5th! They are messing up the TV schedule...
its a promo!
I used to catch sharks while surf fishing on Assateague.
Not very big, but they're there.
The water is probably more of a threat than a shark.
It is their territory. You take a chance each time you get in the water.
