Mosby Wants To Bar Defense From Sharing Evidence

On the heels of a denial for a broad gag order in the case, Baltimore's top prosecutor on Monday asked a judge instead to bar attorneys representing the six police officers charged in Freddie Gray's death from sharing evidence before their trial.

State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby's filed a protective-order motion asking for all discovery materials in the case to be deemed confidential. Just over a week ago, a judge refused to grant Mosby's request for a complete gag order.

Gray's death from injuries suffered in police custody prompted protests that at times gave way to violence and looting. The officers face charges ranging from second-degree assault to depraved-heart murder.

Is she black or white? In the wake of recent social media storm, it does matter.

Another fine example of trying to stack the deck so you can get a conviction after you screwed up at the onset. Go back to law school and learn something this time.

A disgrace to the law profession.

If the Maryland bar association would do their job they would disbar this woman. It seems that in Md the only way to get disbarred is to steal from little old women's estates.

We had a couple of incompetent States attorneys right here on the shore a few years ago but fortunately they were both voted out of office. That is what needs to be done with this unqualified prosecutor.

Gee, I'm sure she'd want the same thing if she were the defendant!

Yeah so she gets to go on a Media tour to make these cops look bad and then wants to suppress the Defense from publicly sharing their side of the story.

Not so much the defence going public. She's trying to supress evidence sharing between the attorneys that may be helpful in the defence of all six officers charged. Discovery, in general, should go in favor of the defense. I was a police officer for 25 years, I never remember the defense being attacked by the state in any case prior to trial, In relation to evidence discovered through their investigation prior to trial. Looks like a witch hunt to me!

"GIVE HER SOME SPACE."

12:12 She's got plenty of space. Between her ears.

She is getting away with injustice bc she is black. Rachel proved the opportunities are handed to you if you're black.

Someone should gag her!

She seems to want to make up her own rules as she goes along. The hell with the law.

When the riots start back up again she will only have herself to blame.

And I have a feeling they will start back up. I don't think she will be able to win this case.

They'll riot and loot anyway, it never was truly about any kind of outrageous social issue. It was about wilding in the streets and a free for all looting frenzy.
