Brandon Bostian, Amtrak engineer, can't remember crash details, lets attorney speak for him

PHILADELPHIA (ABC News) -- Brandon Bostian, the engineer driving the Amtrak train that derailed in Philadelphia Tuesday night, has no recollection of the crash itself and "no explanation" for what happened, his attorney told ABC News.

The attorney for Bostian, 32, a Queens, New York, resident, confirmed his identity to ABC News, and added that Bostian voluntarily turned over a blood sample and his cell phone and is cooperating with authorities.

Bostian was "very distraught" to learn of the loss of life in the crash, the attorney said, adding Bostian only remembers driving the train to the crash area generally, then later getting tossed around, coming to, finding his bag and his cell phone, and dialing 911.

Bostian suffered a concussion and head wound that required 14 staples, as well as injuries to both of his legs in the crash, the attorney said -- but Bostian told the attorney he had "no health issues to speak of" before the crash and was on no medications.

Should have spent less time promoting the homosexual agenda and more time worrying about peoples safety!

Should have spent less time and money on wars and the agenda of the 1% and more on infrastructure. Our railroads are a disgrace compared to those in the other industrialized countries.

Hardly Queensgirl52. Actually quite the opposite is true. In fact railways in the "other industrialized countries" are quite primitive compared to the US.
There are a few that compare: Japan's Bullets and the Eurostar, the US has something very much comparable in the Acela Express.

It wasn't so long ago that this line the NE Regional, was under fire for being late more than 30 percent of the time.
There's the other option the Acela Express but it's costly compared to this

2:53 I don't care what you do... infrastructure isn't going to help a train going double the speed limit. WTF are some of you on? They get PLENTY of money, it's how they SPEND IT that's the problem. The current CUT in their budget has more to do with THEIR WASTEFUL appropriation of their budget, and NOT in denying them the money to rebuild tracks, repair trains etc. Their management sucks.

That's the road I'd take. Don't remember a thing! Either way,he's unemployed for life. One is in jail, the other is not in jail.
