Those attorneys are asking a judge to recuse Marilyn Mosby from the case, citing several potential conflicts of interest.
In a response filed Monday afternoon, prosecutors describe the defense attorneys' allegations of conflict "absurd" and "laughable."
"The motion bounces from one ridiculous allegation to another, like a pinball on a machine far past 'TILT,'" Chief Deputy State's Attorney Michael Schatzow wrote.

Liberal MD Judges will not honor any motions from the Defense Attorneys on recuse or change of venue. The odds are very low that they will grant any of these motions. My odds are on the chance of this happening would be 30/70
Schatzow accused Baltimore Six’s attorneys of violating Rule 3.3(a) of Maryland Lawyers’ Rules of Professional Conduct for not citing legal authority directly adverse to their position. However, Schatzow did not cite authority that the use of handcuffs does not necessarily constitute an arrest. Therefore, Schatzow arguably violated Rule 3.3(a) himself.
So now the knife is a non issue.
She must have finally read the Baltimore City Code.
I wonder what she will come up with next, once she figures out detention does not equal arrest.
Mosby made a malicious illegal arrest of the initial three officers and now is trying to find some justification for her actions, facts indicate that she made the illegal arrests of 3 officers – so far.
Her justifications for all the charges will keep evolving, her work was quick & dirty and additional evidence will continue to contradict her scenario. The BPD investigation details will destroy her arguments. I fully expect they will find she has concealed loads of exculpatory evidence for the defendants.
In the end her office will be focusing more effort on keeping Mosby out of jail than convicting the 6 cops. Stay tuned.
Bring the case to Wicomico County where they can get a fair trial. Dont let Dems rail road the people.

I heard Mosby's circuit court ASA's are fleeing her office like it's a sinking ship.
This response to the motion explains why.
It's been my experience that attorneys resort to this kind of theater when they do not have any valid legal or factual points to argue.
Doesn't sound absurd or laughable to me. Hope the City officials get sued to the max for being stupid concerning the law and putting political motivation over enforcing the law. Always remember the famous saying:"Give them room to destroy and burn!" Only wish that was her car and house being destroyed and burned.
Eh, a similar tactic was tried in Ferguson where it was felt the attorney was biased towards the police. It's all showboating as far as I can tell.

If this does end up going to trial, defense will want to be held in either the Lower Shore or Garrett or Allegany. They will compromise and it will be held either on the Eastern Shore closer to the Bay Bridge or Frederick, Wash or even Cecil counties.
