The grandson of legendary CBS anchor Walter Cronkite took his own life over the weekend at his Maine college, just days away from graduation.
Peter Cronkite, 22, was found Sunday in his dorm room on Colby College by police in Waterville.
The rugby player and standout scholar took his own life, the Cronkite family said.
Waterville police said they responded to an emergency medical call to Colby but refused to provide details.
