Honda Out, Harley In
Over the next few months you should start seeing the construction of a brand new Harley Davidson building on Rt. 50 on the east side of Salisbury. More details to come...

Give it a couple years, and it'll be boarded up like the one in West OC.
Well at least Bud Horner is retiring and not being forced out of business. I say this because of the sound of his email did not imply that he was being forced to close.
The one question that I have is why didn't anyone offer to purchase his business?
Their new location is over by Oak Ridge Baptist. The HD bikers are always drinking the kool aid, the dealership will be fine. If you've ever seen Tracy you know what I mean. No wonder her man is smiling all the time.
The new location will thrive! O.C. location closed because it's at the end of Rt 50, in a beach town that's closed 50% of the year. The Seaford location is fine, but Rommel has Delaware already covered with Wilmington and Smyrna. Salisbury hits the crosshairs of Delmarva at the intersection of 13 and 50 - Boom!!!
The OC lacation was great, they mainly sold shirts and accessories but they did well. Moved to Berlin to sell more bikes and it was a bad move. Cost were too high and shirts sales were down. No one buys a bike on vacation, no business sense at all.
Who can afford a Harley? You see how many people are driving 50 k + pickup trucks dragging equaly expensive( or more) boats around here.I'd say there's a market here.
I'll take my Honda any day! I have a 03 Honda Shadow Spirit I bought brand new and it still runs and looks great! With Harley, you are just paying extra for a name. I'll take a Honda or Kawasaki bike any day!

A Harley is a luxury that fits in well with a good economy.1:37 is most likely correct.

In this economy who the hell can afford a Harley?

They are affordable to most that want one. $15K 5 year loan = $270/mo. Cancel cellphone and cable tv almost covers it.
But personally I like the protection a car offers.

I'm sick of Rommel HD's. He is so vain he has to put "Rommel" on everything, even Delmarva Bike Week. P.O.S.
as it should be
