Tempers flared at the Irving City Council meeting as supporters and protesters clashed over the city’s support of the Texas House Bill 562, the so called “anti-sharia” law.
The yelling and booing began just minutes into the public comment forum.
“Sharia law is Islam. And Islam’s goal is to immigrate, assimilate and annihilate,” said one speaker.
Those words outraged audience member Laith Albataineh who began yelling back at the speaker in outrage.
“That is offensive. That is Offensive! Show some respect. You do not call me religion that,” yelled Albataineh.

They've already made a special judge for sharia cases in Texas. Non criminal cases to be exact. Smdh.
Yes, Mr. Albataineh, we DO call your religion that, whatever that is. It's called "free speech", and we don't give a porky damn if you don't like it.
The sheer malevolent hypocrisy, the self-serving tantrums of "outrage" from some of these people, is dumbfounding.
Many of us consider "sharia law" to be offensive. Offensive! They should show some respect to us, who simply wish to prevent their superstitions, subculture of misogyny, and fascist ideology...oh...sorry, meant to say "religion" from subverting our freedom and way of life.
If they find our way of life offensive, why do they come here in droves? To be offended by our values and culture?
Or to infiltrate, and outbreed us until they can subvert our freedom in the name of "democracy"?
Rock on Texas , the only state with a set of balls.
I say you wanted the American way of life so live by our laws not the ones you left because you wanted a different life.
SO
As plain as it gets return to what you left and deal with it don't try to change us.
"LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT"
