President Obama on Wednesday said that Islam was not to blame for the spread of terrorism, dismissing calls for him to link such violence to so-called Muslim extremism.
“We are not at war with Islam. We are at war with people who have perverted Islam,” Obama said at the White House’s summit on countering “violent extremism.”
“No religion is responsible for terrorism,” the president said. “People are responsible for violence and terrorism."
Obama has been roundly criticized for not using the phrase “Islamic extremism,” as detractors accuse him of downplaying the religious motivations behind a spate of recent terrorist attacks.
The president directly addressed the simmering controversy over what he sees as the root cause for the rise of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. But he said such criticism failed to reflect the complexities of the factors responsible for the growth of so-called violent extremism — and he insisted that terrorist leaders were eager to convince young people that the West was “at war” with Islam.

I find it interesting that he says the individuals are responsible for terrorism, but when it comes to some random shooting it's the weapons fault. It is the twisted logic of a progressive on full display.
I'd like to give it a new name:
Perversion of Islam. It's not about religion, it's about where a perversion of the concept of religion among a few has becomes a mantra for violence and supremacism. It's not religion, it's politics at its worst. It must be struck down, and its misinformed reeducated or eliminated to save the rest of humanity, who cannot survive its radical insanity.

It is because InvictusV, Obama has the same prevailing attitude that is so common among the black population. Lives Do Not Matter......Unless An Agenda Can Be Attached To It.
He can't attach his agenda to people being burned alive or people's throats being slit or people being crucified or beheaded so he runs off and plays golf.
With gun violence he can attach his disarm America agenda to the deaths.
He gives the Islamic terrorist deaths as little thought as he does to the many black on black murders committed each and ever day in this county. Basically he ignores them because to him (as well as a lot of his supporters) lives ONLY matter when they can push their beliefs on it.
Obama is mentally ill and anyone who still supports him has evil lurking in them. They are not good people no matter how they act in public. Their support of Obama tells their real story and it's not nice.
A simple parsing of words; Islam is not responsible but the Muslim radicals that practice Islam are responsible.
I would submit that Obama, while unconvincingly proclaiming his dislike for ISIS has actually deliberately paved the way for them, supported them even through back channels while quietly and or obviously removing obstacles to their cause.
Remember, more Muslim Brotherhood Caliphate leaders have been to the White House than American Senators and Representatives.
His policy's though have backfired on him simply because he is truly incompetent.
