On the morning of Tuesday, January 6, a domestic disturbance call took a deadly turn when a police officer fired at a family dog and missed. According to The Hawk Eye, Autumn Steele was fatally shot by a Burlington Police officer in front of her husband, Gabriel Steele, and their four-year-old son.
Court records reportedly revealed Steele was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of domestic abuse one day prior to her death. Apparently, an altercation took place between her and her husband because she was ordered not to return to the home alone without a police escort.
The officer was dispatched to supervise Steele so she could gather some of her belongings. Unfortunately, the situation took a horrific turn when the couple’s German Shepherd reportedly approached the officer. Apparently, the officer felt threatened by the dog because he pulled his gun and began shooting at the animal. An eyewitness revealed the officer fell into the snow while he was shooting and one of the bullets hit Steele in the chest.
She was transported to the Great River Medical Center where she later died.

So a dog cannot protect its owners. What a joke.
Now someone try to tell me that cops and their use of deadly force doesn't need to be reigned in. This crap is going on everywhere...this is what happens when police are the ones that judge police actions, and justify practically every use of deadly force. They pull their guns "out of fear" and the hell with any collateral damage or deaths. They put civilians in jail every day for killing out of fear, but not cops, oh no.
Hang the cop for just plain stupidity.
Then, take guns out of the hands of these morons!
What genius decided that the dog was the intended target, the internal investigator? Are we to read this and graciously accept every word of it? Intentional accidents happen every day.Only the trooper and God know the truth.
If that were my mother or wife there isn't a law, agency or soul on this earth that would save that coward from my wrath.
I have always said if you have a domestic issue don't call the cops because they will make it worst.
