Wicomico County is pleased to announce the bids for the Morris Mill Urban Service District Elevated Water Tank and Distribution Lines projects have been awarded and construction begins this month. A Groundbreaking Ceremony will be January 27, 2015 at 9:00 am at the future elevated water tank site at the end of Slab Bridge Road in Fruitland MD.
The Morris Mill Water System project will provide public, potable water and fire protection to 273 homes by extending public drinking water from the City of Fruitland. Grants from the US
Department of Agriculture Rural Development and Maryland Department of the Environment are funding the project for a total project cost is $8 million. Water is estimated to be available to
residents in the summer fall of 2015 with all construction work completed by winter of 2016.

So will they be sucked into Fruitland to pay city taxes???
