Gun-enthusiast who shot police chief during raid is RELEASED from jail

The gun enthusiast who nearly killed his small town's police chief last week is a free man since cops couldn't find enough evidence to charge him and keep him behind bars.

Sentinel, Oklahoma Police Chief Louis Ross was shot four times that morning while raiding a house in connection to a bomb threat at a school, and only survived thanks to a bullet-proof vest he borrowed at the last minute.

Since he hasn't been officially charged, police have refused to officially name the man who shot Chief Ross, but the town's mayor has identified him as resident Dallas Horton.

Before it was taken down, a Facebook page appearing to belong to Horton was littered with racially-charged posts making his shooting of African-American Ross even more sensitive.

Cops jumped the gun. And received one in return. Key example of police acting to quickly without investigating first. I would've done the same. And all the cops screaming , no wonder the man didn't know it was police. I would been confused and acted as well. This man used his god given rights to defend himself. And from malicious cops and attempted prosecution at that. An all to common occurrence.

How about when swat teams go to the wrong house on the wrong street in the wrong area and they were doing a 5 year long investigation...

It shows you how stupid they are...

"Oh we watched and followed and did investigations for 5+ years and we raided a 75 yr old persons home and shot them for holding a remote control to the tv in the middle of the night because we were scared"

What do they think will happen when the cops go and try to take your guns at gun point? or when they go house to house taking them like the politicians said would happen in Connecticut... Go ask Connecticut state police what they think... And if I were any of you cops out here, I would do as they did... Fair warning!!!!!

Glad the prosecutor had some common sense!

The cops screwed up on this one - almost cost the sheriff his life!

I hope the Leos all across the country learn from this. And I don't mean just enter and massacre everyone for " their protection" cause " the perp reportedly had a weapon yesterday!

More and more of these incidents will occur with our police state ramming down doors and acting like fools. Arm up folks, it is on.
