NAACP Says Guns, Not Protests To Blame For Cop Killings

The NAACP Legal Defense Fund issued a statement Saturday insisting that lax gun control laws, not the ongoing police brutality protests, led to the execution-style killings of two New York City officers.

“These two killings … like so many other unfortunate incidences of gun violence, provide a stark example of the need for sensible gun control measures, and the need to thoughtfully address untreated mental illness,”the statement said.

“While some may suggest a causal link between these killings and the recent protests and activism focused on the serious issue of police violence against unarmed African Americans, we caution against escalating an already tense national state through rumor and conjecture,” it said.

“Whatever motivation lay in the apparently troubled mind of the now deceased shooter of these officers,” the NAACP statement continued, “there is no connection between the peaceful protests of thousands of people of all races all over the country and, indeed, around the world, and this hideous act of violence.”

Anyone with a brain would be embarrassed to be associated with such an organization that is so off the wall.
The NAACP is all that is wrong in the black communities.
No matter how many times I holler at my gun to go and kill someone, it won't do it. Guns don't kill, people do-so stop making excuses for the uncivilized lawless culture Black America has become.

How quaint, blame an inanimate object for your failures in building family and community. It's always someone or something elses fault. Sponsor "peaceful" protests where people are encouraged to chant violent slogans and then act surprised when some weak-minded malcontent actually does what you encouraged him to do. Boo hoo. I'm not buying it.

The reason Michael Brown is dead is not because of a gun. It was because he was trying to kill a cop. And don't forget he was up on charges of attempted murder and had just robbed a store. So, NAACP, THERE LIES THE REAL PROBLEM.

NAACP really equals -- Incompetent, Ignorant, Idiots, who are Racist. Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

Don't like the constitution? Then consider living somewhere else.

You above all people should have a respect and appreciation for freedom given the horrible past African Americans have had to over come. Stop marring you culture with stupid positions on real issues. It makes you look like the joke that you are today.

Where I come from, they have a saying, "when the going gets tough, the tough get going."

You think you are the only immigrants who had it hard here? You are wrong.

"R" for repression

What horrible past did they overcome?

Bill O'Reilly said it last night when he said-
"Let's start with this killer, 28-year-old guy named Brinsley, total loser, 20 arrests, high school dropout. No father that we know of. The usual cultural devastation. Okay?

Raised in poverty, bounces around, no education. No skills, doesn't hold a job. Commits crime after crime after crime, the system won't deal with him because people like de Blasio don't hold him accountable for anything."

There are millions of other "Brinsley's" out there who will go on to become criminals or will be murdered themselves by other "Brinsley's."
They are not "troubled." They are the product of their environment. An environment where young poverty stricken girls spread their legs for every criminal on the block, making babies with no means to support them both mentally and financially. Guns are not the problem it's the culture and the refusal of the NAACP to tell the truth.

The NAACP can say all they want that they don't want guns...Go ahead turn in your guns. Any of those who do understand their rights will never do so. No request, No law will change the fact that the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed upon.

Just about as stupid as saying blacks are the cause of racism
because they are "black".

Well then I expect that Ashanti and her band and the UMES NAACP to immediately, be out in the hood and the projects, demanding young black men turn in their guns.
They won't do it though. They are real good at making excuses but when it comes to taking any actions they show everyone what they are really made of and that is nothing.
People of all races should have no use for these big mouths.

The NAACP is a racist organization falsely claiming they're for equal rights but now are coming out and trying to take away our rights starting with the 2nd amendment.

I disagree. Blacks are the main reason for what they perceive to be racism. They've even managed to water down the definition of racism and everything under the sun is racist to them anymore but this is a debate for another day.
Blacks are certainly responsible for others being suspicious of them given the fact that they are disproportionality responsible for crime.
You go to any inner city neighborhood that is devastated with violent crime and it's 90+ percent blacks and has been for generations.
People have a very real reason to be suspicious of blacks and if this is what they perceive to be racism, then they do, only have themselves to blame.

This is your typical predictable NAACP response to everything.
Complete evasion of any personal responsibility and excuses.
We never should expect anything of any substance out of them.
Anytime you hear them speak, it's immediately becomes apparent they aren't exactly of a high intellect level. Ghetto hustler comes to mind.

They really are as dumb as everyone knows they are

Forty trillion dollars later and they are still whining. Welfare system is a failure. Stop all free monies see how long it takes to get people back on track lol. I am sick of Blacks not even old enough to have been part of any repression whining. It is old and tired. There are some great Americans of all colors. Stop the excuses NAACP and recognize that you are the Black mans worst enemy. You have become a joke to most Black Americans.

no NAACP it was a black thug.

Cap welfare benefits at two kids. See how quickly things improve. No money if you don't make use of the billions spent on minorities to coax them into wanting an education and doing a tiny bit of work.
