Why phone records are being ignored in these investigations is a mystery.Yes I know it was dark,he was walking across at an inappropriate place and he may have been wearing dark clothing.Phone records should be checked REGARDLESS to determine if talking or texting was involved. Is jail space seriously that limited to ignore a possible manslaughter case?

@10:26AM Those of us who are old and walk to try to stay a little healthier, can attest to the fact, that crossing any highway, be it in the dark of night or the light of day, takes much more time than those that do not walk regularly, could ever possibly imagine. If a vehicle even looks close, BE GUARANTEED, it is close, VERY close, DO NOT cross, don't take the chance and.... when you do not have a clear view of ALL lanes of oncoming, possibly deadly traffic, DO NOT take the chance, WAIT until you are absolutely positive that NOTHING that's coming has the slightest chance of getting to where you are crossing, before you can get completely across. The old and/or the fat move much slower than they think they do, plus they're usually weak and have a tendency to stumble (like flat on the ground or roadway) and oncoming vehicles move much faster than they appear and are unforgiving (can't stop for slow or fallen dummies in their path). CAUTION is ever prudent, so ALWAYS use your God given common sense, NEVER allow yourself to be in a big axxed hurry (like the guy did in this story) and if you're lucky you might make it back home from your walk unharmed. Cars move terribly FAST, in relationship, people move at the speed of dead dogs/slugs, but think they move fast enough. They're WRONG! Don't forget, at the end of your walk, you're probably tired, your blood sugar has naturally dropped during the walk and your clarity of thought due to lower blood sugar has diminished (not as clear headed as when you started and/or you might just be weak/overly tired. ** Low blood sugar is like being drunk** This is the exact time to NOT take any chances, wait and be positive it's safe, before crossing.
