OPERATION: INSIDE THE CAPITAL BELTWAY SWEEP YIELDS RESULTS

Maryland State Police
All this week, the Maryland State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division (CVED) is focused on an initiative to remove unsafe vehicles from the highways. The initiative is a partnership with the Prince George's County Police Department.

Drivers are being checked for license violations. Some drivers are being placed out-of-service for serious safety violations like falsified log book entries. Police are also placing trucks out-of-service for defective equipment and unsafe cargo securement.

Since the beginning of Operation: Inside the Capital Beltway Sweep on Monday, October 6, 2014, police have made 275 Commercial Motor Vehicle inspections. Out of those inspections, police cited several violations including:

88 vehicles placed out-of-service
258 citations were written, with fines totaling $52,188
27 seatbelt violation citations
13 overweight vehicles
3 warrant arrests

The initiative ends on Friday, October 10, 2014.

52k is a good haul.I'll now pay more at the store for my stuff.

Somebody has to pay. Beat up the poor assed truck drivers, and forget about the criminals stealing and murdering. It's much safer work.

Yea forget about the Wall Street crimes. The Bankers' crimes. The deliberate destruction of the economy. The out of control illegal immigration. The deliberate destruction of our culture. The mind controlled erasure of the black race through encouraged inter-racial mingling. The Zionists don't do it. But if is fine for the Goyim.

So when the over weight trucks brakes fail and it rear ends you, you won't complain? They are talking about trucks over 10k lbs people.

Used to be in the trucking business, 26 years. Most people see the number of trucks put out of service and think that means big problems like brakes. They will put a truck out of service for a marker light out on your trailer.
