Starting Wednesday, Oct. 1, possessing a small amount of marijuana will no longer be a crime.
According to the measure, which is labeled SB 364, having less than 10 grams of marijuana will be a civil offense, similar to a traffic ticket.
It will not lead to a criminal record or carry jail time.

So there is a fine if you get caught with pot, however if you get caught with any device used to smoke the pot that is still a criminal offense? You know the police will use that little fact to their advantage each and every time.
But will it lead to a search of your house, your car, your person or anyplace else you frequent? As another commenter said, it's a start, but it's far from the best solution.
Another good thing for the politicians. Keep the public stoned so they can do as they please at an even greater scale!
