NASA awards a multi-billion dollar contract to ferry astronauts to the International Space Station to both Boeing and SpaceX. The contracts would allow the U.S. to get to the space station aboard American spacecraft instead of having to rely on the Russians, who charge more than $70 million a seat for the ride.

Don't be fooled by the wow factor.This program is of zero benefit to anyone anywhere.It accomplishes nothing.This falls into the same category as the war machine that never stops.We should have been to Mars 25 years ago and we basically haven't even left our own orbit (except of course to go to the moon 45 years ago)That is the most distant manned mission ever accomplished.
