Police said they were called to the 3100 block of Texas Avenue around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday where they are investigating a "possible hazardous device."
Authorities are asking people on Texas Avenue, Parktowne and Acton roads between Harford Road and Wilson Avenue to shelter in place.
According to the Baltimore County police and fire department Twitter feed, officials said the "shelter in place is for the safety of the community" and is a "precautionary measure."
