PUBLIC NOTICE OF CLOSED SESSION
THE SALISBURY CITY COUNCIL WILL MEET AT 6:00 P.M. TODAY, AUGUST 25, 2014 FOR THE REGULARLY SCHEDULED LEGISLATIVE SESSION. AT APPROXIMATELY 7:15 P.M., UPON THE ADJOURNMENT OF THE LEGISLATIVE SESSION, COUNCIL WILL ENTERTAIN A VOTE TO CONVENE IN CLOSED SESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISCUSSING THE APPOINTMENT, EMPLOYMENT, ASSIGNMENT, PROMOTION, DISCIPLINE, DEMOTION, COMPENSATION, REMOVAL, RESIGNATION, OR PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF APPOINTEES, EMPLOYEES, OR OFFICIALS OVER WHOM THIS PUBLIC BODY HAS JURISDICTION; OR ANY OTHER PERSONNEL MATTER THAT AFFECTS ONE OR MORE SPECIFIC INDIVIDUALS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND §10-508(a)(1).
THE CLOSED SESSION WILL BE HELD IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS, ROOM 301 OF THE GOVERNMENT OFFICE BUILDING (125 N. DIVISION STREET) AT WHICH TIME THE PUBLIC CAN OBSERVE THE MOTION, ANY DISCUSSION AND THE VOTE TO CONVENE IN CLOSED SESSION AS NOTED ABOVE.
THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO ATTEND.

OK... I know I'm young...but does close session mean closed as in you may not know what we are doing???

You don't hold closed door meetings when the public ought to be invited.
