Watchstanders at Coast Guard Station Ocean City received a report of an overturned vessel with three people in the water near Ocean City Inlet at approximately 4:30 p.m.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Baltimore issued an urgent marine information broadcast. A 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew from Station Ocean City was already underway for training and diverted to respond.
All three people were rescued.

And probably swamped by one of those careless, irresponsible, captains piloting a multi-million dollar offshore charter fishing boat and pulling a 10 foot wake behind it. They come through the inlet like that all the time. Yeah, and then they laugh when they look behind their boat and see the damage they caused. They call the people in the little boats stupid. Been right on their boats when they have done it, and said it. They have no respect for other boaters unless they are in one like theirs. They think they own the waterways. "you are responsible for your wake" is the law. I think they should go to jail....But hey, they have a lot of money, they don't care.
