Poor Seth Mitchell , He's still trying to be somebody! My vote would be Jack Heath. Joe I wish you would do a little article about each one because many names we have never heard of.

A list of people who are otherwise unelectable or have been cuddling up to those overseeing the demise of the city for years. Seth Mitchell, Jack Heath, and Muir Bodacious haven't been elected because the city voters don't want them. Don Catchcart has proven himself to be a disrespectful mouthpiece for Barrie Tilghman and his past council member wife. If I remember correctly, Hughes was the partner of Mike Dunn's father in a business deal that resulted in financial favors from the city and if not still, payments were delinquent for a long time. Nathan Long is a local attorney who wanted to be city attorney.
I don't think I know Sarah, Therese , Millicent, or Kevin. I do think that I recall Tom having a decent record of public service if he lives somewhere in Clairmont. Chad is a nice enough guy and has done great work to bring back a very dilapidated home.
Joe, if it's possible to publish copies of the applications, please do. While the council picks, to have some transparency around qualifications and backgrounds would increase transparency and accountability.

All of them together cannot fill the gap left behind by Terri Cohen's resignation.

I am all for Nathan Long.

I hope what I'm about to say doesn't stop comments from coming in but here goes.

I thank ALL of the people on this list for stepping up.

Joe, regardless of the individual qualifications, I agree with you:

Anyone willing to spend their time and energy serving the public deserves a little appreciation.

Thanks to all who have thrown their hats in the ring.

Whether you like them or not at least they had the guts to step up to the plate. That's more than can be said for most Salisbury residents.

8:20 Since you seem to be such an expert, on everyone running, why don't you step up?

Seth Mitchell? Really???

Agreed 8:59. Most SBY residents just sit there and get sucked dry from liberals that end up running the town (of money).

Someone stepping up to the plate for selfish, unethical reasons is no improvement over the person who doesn't step up at all.

9:46 Well said! Most who run for city and county council are only doing so for personal gain!

Anyone who is appointed or elected and benefit from tax dollars should automatically be discharged from any government assistance programs. Get a REAL job!!!

Who ever they pick will have to prove their worthiness in a short amount of time. At least if we find out they are scum we can elect someone else in about a year. It will be hard or even impossible to find someone as knowledgeable and work as hard as Mrs Cohen did.

Seth Mitchell and all of them are liberal Democrats.

What happened to Josh Hastings? I thought he was good buddies with Jim Ireton and Jake Day.
