The wannabe fire chief is starting problems with the volunteers at Station 1. He is running to the mayor and telling lies on the volunteers so that the mayor will back what ever punishment he gives to the volunteers to help run them off. That is how he can justify paying for over 65 paid firemen to sit around and do nothing but chase ambulances all day and sleep all night.
MAYBE THE FIRE CHIEF SHOULD PUT A BLS UNIT AT STATIONS 1,2 and 16. THIS WAY THE SFD VOLUNTEERS AT THESE STATIONS COULD MAN THE AMBOS, THUS CREATING LESS OF A NEED FOR CAREER FIREMEN. THE VOLUNTEERS NEED TO STEP UP .

Well you said fire chief and with that title it says it all. There is no fire chief because he wouldn't make a pimple on a real fire chiefs arse. Second, fire chief say fire not EMS which means who ever is in that position more than likely doesn't have a clue about how to run an EMS Division. With that said that should be evidence to prove that EMS should be ran as a third service.
If the public knew what behavior went on with this group they would fully understand the Fire Chiefs directives. When a station only manages to respond on calls in their district 19% of the time that's not good. The Pick Up Possie with their Firefighter 1 cards are not calling the shots. The Fire Chief leads the department and its that simple. Dont talk about putting an ambulance there if you can only get a fire truck out the door 19% of the time.

If the fire chief was a leader you might have a point, but since you and your wannabe fire chief is clueless it's all a game to you.
So 10:33 AM what is the behavior you are talking about. We all know what Hoppes is doing, he is trying to justify paying for the 12 firemen from the free grant money.
Joe do you smell something fishy here? You should look into some investigative reporting.
