RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A Virginia man has agreed to have a vasectomy as part of a plea deal that will shorten his prison sentence in a child endangerment case by about five years.
Shenandoah County assistant prosecutor Ilona White says she came up with the idea for the unusual condition after a judge in a previous case expressed concern that 27-year-old Jessie Lee Herald had fathered seven children with six different women.
Herald’s attorney, Charles Ramsey, says he had some hesitation about the deal but was obligated to pass it along to his client. He says it was a difficult decision for Herald, who is serving four years in prison.

While many likely agree that it would be for the best if Jesse Lee Herald stopped impregnating various women, it's deeply disturbing to see the state think it has a right to make that decision for him.
Spay or neuter the trash of America .
7;24 well evidently Mr. herald can not stop himself. And since we the taxpayers are paying for his stupid mistakes I think that pretty much gives society the right to stop him. Damn I swear animals have more sense than most of humanity!
Evidently Mr. Herald has met and impregnated six women who didn't say "no". And who is paying the freight for the actions for which two people are responsible?
I know people have a issue with this but my God it's a great solution. It's one thing to make a bunch of babies and pay for them yourself. It's another to make a bunch of dependents for the state.
Neck tat brings down da big bucks!
