As he runs for a third term in office, Maryland First District Republican Congressman Andy Harris is also seeking a house leadership post.
Harris told WBAL's Jimmy Mathis Show that he is running for the chairmanship of the House Republican Study Committee, which helps shape policy for House Republicans.
"The Republican Study Committee is the caucus within a caucus of real conservatives, which advances conservative principles to the entire G.O.P. conference. It's a great opportunity to advance conservative policy, and I'm going to run for it," Harris said on the WBAL program,

Way to go Andy. I appreciate your fiscal responsibility.
For being a scientist, he sure does disappoint on environmental issues, particularly climate change.
Hopefully, though, he will direct monies towards scientific discoveries and research in a more responsible way.
