Sad. The srt's don't seem to be alert this year. I've been to the beach six times this year. Everytime I go I see the guards spending more time flirting with girls than watching the water. They need to be vigilant. They used to be able to foresee and warn people in advance of situations. Even point out a weak swimmer and watch. Over the years the beach patrol has been slipping into the just another summer job category. They used to be elite . Might as well just delete.

Does the Ocean City paramedics ever transport anyone by land? If it wasn't for the Ocean City paramedics the MSP helicopter would go out of business.

Helicopter transport costs your insurance company $5000.00 a minute, this is why they try to use it whenever they can to pay for the dam thing. In modern states, not like backwards Maryland, the helicopters are owned and operated by the hospitals, so the cost is only $2000.oo a minute. I know, I was in a bad accident and asked for a full itemized bill on all the costs. It put me in bankruptcy court.

5:20, your comment is so non-factual that it isn't even worth correcting.

5:20-The helicopter that is referred to here is owned by the State of MD and overseen by the MSP. While I agree most transports probably don't warrant a flight a fair number do. A tax was implemented to offset the costs of the medevac though I can't remember the particulars.
Insurance companies are not charged for transport. No one is billed. It's a free service.

Liar! The state of Maryland does not charge it's residents for medical flights! Only coupons! There is more to your story
