President Barack Obama has spoken numerous times in the past about the importance of being his “brother’s keeper,” so exactly how much did the commander in chief donate to charity this year?
According to his and the first lady’s tax returns released by the White House, the Obamas gave 12.3 percent of their gross income to 32 different organizations in 2013, totaling $59,251.00.
Of this overall charitable giving, the Obamas donated $1,500 to St. John’s Church, an Episcopalian church close to the White House.

Last time I checked the bible states that you're suppose to tithe 10%. My wife and I tithe, but we give 10% of our take home pay.
Sorry None. We want your 10% before deductions. Please file a corrected return.

To the church Dumbo to the church. Didn't you even read the article. See below!
"This was the family’s sole donation to a house of worship last year, meaning the Obamas tithed 0.3 percent of their total gross income of $481,098.00 in 2013, as the Daily Caller noted."
That's real Christain of you Obama. Of course most illegal's from Kenya donate 0, so I guess you did well, considering.
see how much he donated to iranians.
and muslums.... i bet it's a heck of alot more.
10:49 Church Dumbo? Really? Are you ill tempered or do you fail to see that you are losing all self control. Peace dude. Fight (if you must) for the rights of others to think whatever they may think. Enough hatred. We are all the same person deep down. The same genetic material. Where does hostility come from ????
Nope, I'm anti Obama
That is exactly why I posted what I did. Because he didn't give anywhere near the 10% that the bible calls for.
So I'm a "church dumbo" because I actually try to live a Christian life.
I donate my money to an organization that promotes "Love thy neighbor", that goes on mission trips to help 3rd world areas.
Now I know your comeback so let me shut it down before you say it. No my church doesn't discriminate against homosexuality, it doesn't promote it but we feel that everyone is worthy of God's grace.
More to the point:
His/their contributions were minimal before running for White House. They jumped up in the election years.
The amount given in 2013 was described elsewhere as sufficient to get the max write-off, but not more.
All show; no go, just like all else he's tied to.
