'Food for Fines' Returns to Blackwell Library

SALISBURY, MD---Outstanding library fees at Salisbury University? Why not pay with food?

Blackwell Library hosts “Food for Fines” through Friday, May 30. Students and community users with late fines accrued in the past 30 days may help feed the hungry by bringing in non-expired canned and other non-perishable food to the Circulation Desk. Each item of food waives $2 in fines owed, with a maximum of $10. Donations need not be limited to fine amounts. The offer is valid only on SU fines.

Community borrowers from Wicomico, Somerset, Worcester and Dorchester counties are encouraged to participate. Collected food will be given to Hope and Life Outreach (HALO) Ministries.

For more information call 410-548-2386 or visit the Blackwell Library website atwww.salisbury.edu/library.
