On Campground Rd...just up from the Ferry at the end of Riverside Drive Ext. There was a full County road crew doing work at the stop sign of Siloam Rd and Campground Rd. The owner of the house where the work is being done is the son of a man that just recently retired from the same County department.
They've got the road tore up and it appears they are addressing an "sitting water issue" when it rains very hard. I can't think of any other reason to be digging up the road way. My point being....if you take a ride out there....maybe you could show our tax payers that their money gets spent of BS...especially if you're connected. Way bigger fish to fry when it comes to our county roads for sure.
I'm so sick of this crap I could scream.

As I assumed....they put the drainage pipe in to drain this man's side yard. Nice to have this type of service provided from our county roads department. Can anyone find out if the owner had to pay?
go ahead and SCREAM, it might make you feel better but it won't change anything...
If the county road was causing the flooding the county needed to fix it. Really very simple folks.
Yes they put a pipe in across the road to take care of the flooding issues it has when it rains. Also there was already a pipe there that wasn't kept up with. If you live out that way you know how that corner gets when it rains. And what does have to do with who lives there or not and who is father is or not? Maybe no one else knew that all you had to do was complain about the problem. And why does it matter if he had to pay or not? It's a county road that should of been taken care of along time ago.
I've lived in that area for quite sometime and its not an issue never was. A lot of money spent on nothing when compared to all the other road issues that continue to decay everyday

Apparently you do not ride down that road when it rains to see the flooding it does. Not only does it flood the side yard it floods the entire street side to side. And I'm not talking about an inch of laying water either. Come on now it was a problem now it's fixed. Sorry
Really. It's fixed now. Let it go.
How about patching the segment of the Ho Chi Minh Ireton Pollitt trail between Civic Avenue and Beaglin Park Rd? Used to be Glen Avenue. Wouldn't want a poodle to sprain an ankle crossing it.
How about all the water that will drain to the property across the street now. So, now the property owner across the street will have the flooded yard because that is where the water will go. This would have NEVER been addressed if not for who owns the property. The road was tore up and a brand new culvert pipe put in when there wasn't one before.
This is also Lee Outen's buddy. This property is owned by the son of Lee Outen's old boss.
This is how Wicomico County operates. It has been and will always be a "good ole boy system" and there is nothing we can do about it.
