But the way you read this from what the judge is saying, that it would make abortions murder, which in my opinion it is.
"The State’s interest in protecting the life of children from the earliest stages of their development...?!" Wait a minute. According to this logic, it's now the State's responsibility to monitor all women of childbearing age...not just for drug use, but for any activity that the State deems potentially harmful to a fetus. I find this to be deeply troubling. Are you a woman of childbearing age? No coffee, smoking, booze, drugs (prescription or otherwise), contact sports, etc for you unless you can provide proof of virginity! Otherwise, you could be pregnant and your uterus is now the property of the State! Gee, thanks, Judge.
