Incident: Forgery / Theft
Date of Incident: 4 March 2014
Location: 1000 block of Marquis Avenue, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Paul Dickie Green, 54, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 4 March 2014 at 6:08 PM a deputy arrested Paul Green in connection with the theft of checks and their subsequent forging and cashing. During the investigation, the deputy met with an elderly female who discovered five checks had been removed from her checkbook and subsequently used to obtain cash and pay a utility bill for a suspect that would ultimately be identified as Paul Green. According to the victim, Green did work around the victim’s residence and would have had the opportunity to take the checks. The deputy also learned that four of the checks were made payable to “Paul Green” and were cashed in the amount of almost $3,000.00.

The checks were all fraudulently signed with the account holder’s signature.

The investigating deputy applied for and obtained a warrant for Green’s arrest. Upon apprehension, Green was transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner released Green on unsecured bond.
